"Hurricane Donations Did Not Affect Giving to Other Charities, Donors Say"
The donations that Americans channeled to help hurricane victims have not reduced charitable giving to other causes, according to a new survey by the Conference Board, in New York. Nine out of ten Americans who donated to help people affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita said they also gave money to the charities they traditionally support, the survey found - The Chronicle of Philanthropy, April 17, 2006
