"ABAG Announces 2009 - 2010 Newly Elected Officers and Board Members"

Baltimore - The Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers (ABAG) announced the 2009-2010 newly elected Officers and Board Members at the May 27 Annual Meeting.

"Our region benefits greatly from a long tradition of thoughtful, innovative, and committed philanthropy" says Lynn Homeier Rauch, President of the ABAG Board of Directors and Trustee of the Kentfields Foundation. "During these challenging economic times, ABAG will continue our work as the premier resource on philanthropy dedicated to informing grantmakers and improving our community" she said. 

Newly elected Officers:

  • President - Lynn Homeier Rauch, Kentfields Foundation
  • Vice President - Bob Waldman, Venable
  • Treasurer - Vernon Wright, Wright Family Foundation
  • Secretary - Beth Harber, Abell Foundation

Newly elected Board Members:  

  • Tom Kelly, Annie E. Casey Foundation
  • Laurie Latuda, Goldseker Foundation
  • Stacey Van Horn, T. Rowe Price Associates Foundation

To inform the funding community about the scale and scope of need among Central Marylanders, ABAG has recently produced the Guide for Funding Basic Human Needs in a Challenging Economy, which focuses on eight areas critical to maintaining self sufficiency, which suffer during an economic downturn.  www.basicneedsguide.org
