National Even Start Association

The National Even Start Association (NESA) is a membership organization, comprised of a group of professionals dedicated to supporting high quality services in Even Start Family Literacy programs.

Raising A Reader

The mission is to foster healthy brain development, parent-child bonding and early literacy skills critical for school success by engaging parents in a routine of daily “book cuddling” with their children from birth to age five. 

Reach Out and Read

A national non-profit organization that promotes early literacy by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud in pediatric exam rooms across the nation.

Reading Is Fundamental, Inc.

Prepares and motivates children to read by delivering free books and literacy resources to those children and families who need them most.


Reading Recovery Council of North America, Inc.

A not-for-profit association of Reading Recovery professionals, advocates, and partners. The Council provides a network of opportunities for leadership and professional development. It is an advocate for Reading Recovery throughout North America.

Vaughn Gross Center for Reading and Language Arts
The Center is committed to providing leadership to state, national, and international educators in effective reading and mathematics instruction through its diversified research, technical assistance, and professional development projects.
